Another Bikin on the Block success

by Greta on September 25, 2008

Good Morning Angels,

Well, what can I say about last night. It was great. There were about 600 bikes plus the people and families. We had a great time. One of our new volunteers came out to help and that is Aly Boudreaux. She is Miss 4th of July and from Lafayette. What better person to have at an event with her crown and sache. I am so glad to have younger people wanting to help our troops. She and I went out into the crowd to get people to sign cards and Vickie and Libbie stayed manning the table. We had more cards signed this time. I have not had the time to count them but I would guess we have about 100 maybe more. I did give a Patch to a Vietnam Vet who did 2 tours in that war.

I also met a man who is hosting Toys for Tots with the Marines. They are having a Air/Car/Bike Show Nov. 1 & 2. He has to talk to his boss but does not see a problem with us having a table setup there to get Christmas cards signed and we probably will not have to pay either. That would be great.

Well, I must get back to work and I hope everyone has a great day.
