256TH INFANTRY BRIGADE COMBAT TEAM (IBCT)
DEPLOYMENT CEREMONIES
The 256th Infantry Brigade Combat Team (IBCT) is mobilizing in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. They will be conducting numerous deployment ceremonies throughout the state from January 5-7, 2010 and a make-up ceremony for delayed arrival soldiers on January 11, 2010. The main headquarters ceremony will take place on January 7, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. at the Cajun Dome Convention Center at 444 Cajun Dome, Lafayette, LA 70506.
The 256th IBCT has a long and rich history with the Louisiana National Guard and the communities of our great State. This is their second deployment in support of the Global War on Terrorism. We have listed below the schedule of all deployment ceremonies. We encourage you to attend the main deployment ceremony or one in your local area to show support and pride for our men and women in uniform. Also, please check back with this site in case of any changes.
